On behalf of the Indiana Environmental Health Association (IEHA), I would like to invite you to our 2023 Annual Fall Educational Conference to be held at the Horizon Event Center, 401 South High Street, Muncie, IN 47305 on September 25-27, 2023. The Conference theme is “The Journey of Public Health.”
Who Are We? The IEHA is a not-for-profit organization of professionals working in the fields of environmental and public health. IEHA was established in 1951 and consists of approximately 400 members. Members are employed by federal, state, and local governments, schools, industries, solid waste districts and are regulators and educators of public health. Our website is www.iehaind.org where there is more detail about the make-up of our committees and areas of expertise.
What Do We Do? In practical terms, IEHA represents the people who protect you from environmental and public health hazards such as: food-borne illness, water pollution, infectious diseases, vector-borne diseases, hazardous materials spills, unsanitary housing, contaminated drinking water, mold, radon, failing septic systems, lead poisoning, and even terrorism.
What’s Happening? Each year IEHA hosts a Fall Educational Conference where public and environmental health issues are presented and discussed. Our fall conference is normally attended by around 200 members. Conference presentations are used as an educational tool to help better prepare environmental health workers for their role in protecting the public. This year’s conference will be held from September 25 to 27, 2023 at the Horizon Event Center, in Muncie, Indiana.
Why Is It Important? The IEHA Conference is a critical tool for bringing the very latest in environmental and public health trends and continuing education to our members. For 2½ days, members are introduced to the emerging issues in the field, case studies, and various strategies for protecting against a wide array of environmental and public health threats.
Please Help Support Us! IEHA needs your support.
First, we are seeking representatives from organizations and industry to exhibit products and services to our members.
Second, we are seeking advertisers for the Conference Program.
Third, an important method of supporting IEHA is participation in our Sponsorship Program.
Please consider all these opportunities as a way to support IEHA and the state of Indiana. The revenue generated is essential in attaining our objectives.

Conference participants encounter thousands of people with environmental and public health problems and those people are in need of your services.
